Description
New Zealand Greenstone carved mania fishhook pendant, presented by master carver Ross Crump.
Ross Crump is a Marlborough master carver. His carvings are well-known for a beautiful and smooth finish on good quality stones.
The mania is a traditional Maori symbol which is usually depicted with the head of a bird, the body of a man, and the tail of a fish. It is a spiritual guardian, a guardian angel, to ward off danger and protect against evil.
